Model Call – Rescue Pitbull or Lab + Glam Dog Owner {Atlanta Photographer}

Glamour Pet Model Call Nina Parker

Are you a fun gal who has made room in your life for a rescued Pitbull or Labrador?  Do you like pretty, fluffy skirts and flowers?  Most importantly, does your awesome furry gal pal like to dress up in a similarly pretty collar (like sweet Sophie pictured above in her red flower)??  If so, you may be a great fit for a fun personal project I’m planning this spring.

Now that the weather has warmed up and it’s nice outside it’s time to go play!  To that end I’d like to do a shoot combining two of my favorite genres:  beauty portraits and pet portraits.  This is a personal project for me, strictly for the purpose of artistic expression as well as celebrating some deserving dog owners and their equally deserving pets.  For many reasons both Pitbulls and Labradors are often overlooked in shelters, Pits because of reputation and Labs due to overpopularity and overpopulation.   Both breeds have so many good qualities and make excellent pets, and it’s heartbreaking how many end up in shelters and do not experience loving homes.

The shoot will be scheduled during the week on a day I’m available to be out of the studio.  Hair and makeup is up to you but you are very welcome to bring a stylist with you or have it done at your favorite salon.  Once you arrive at the studio we’ll pick an outfit from the Shooting Wardrobe here at the studio and then go to one of several nearby locations to shoot (a park in Smyrna or Marietta Square).  After the shoot you’ll receive a beautiful printed portrait as my gift to you for participating and your story of how you and your pet came together will be shared on this blog and social media.  A Model Release stating the image can be shared on the website and social media is a requirement for the shoot.

Interested?  Shoot me an email to nina@ninaparkerphotography.com       I’d love to hear the story of how you came together and see a snapshot of you and your pet.  Tell me about yourself and why you’d like to be considered, and any other pertinent details about you, your pet, and the shelter or rescue organization your pet came from.   Submissions will be carefully considered and a lucky winner will be selected for this special project.  Thanks for visiting the site and for your interest in this project!!

A few notes:

-the shoot will be on a WEEK DAY.  Weekends are fully booked through the spring

-location will be within several miles of the Smyrna studio (near the intersection of Atlanta Road and Spring Road)

-the vision for the shoot is feminine and fun, and one of several full length tulle skirts will be part of the ensemble

-if your dog is anxious or aggressive please consider that this might be a traumatic or upsetting experience for them and not the best option

-pets will be ON LEASH at all times for the safety of all involved, especially the pet

-One (1) print of the photographer’s choosing will be gifted for your participation.  You are under no obligation to purchase anything.  If you are interested you may schedule an appointment to View/Purchase additional prints or digital images after the shoot.

-A model release stating the image can be featured on the website and social media will be signed prior to the commencement of the photo shoot

    i adopted Sophie one you previously took photos of. As a matter of fact the pit in your advertisement. I would love to retake our picture in your contest you speak of above. (She) will be the feminin part. Her story is a dozey. Lived her whole life in a shelter nearly three years there in a cage 24/7. She was losing her mind starting to get aggressive and hating the world. I’m her first human ! She is smitten with me and I love her ! We have been together for a year now. She is full of love and is happy every second of the day. She is eggar to meet new people. You really need to revisit with her and do an update to her story. 494-587-8810.
    I’m Daryl gravely. Ask Lori with Homless Pet Foundation about Sophie and I

    Is there anyway you could share this with Atlanta pit bull networking I’ve tried and the privacy settings need to be changed. But there are so many foster pits on that page who could benefit from this.
