A very special item has arrived at the studio, and it’s high time it made an appearance on the blog. This piece is very, VERY special: it is a beautiful, custom pink ball gown skirt created especially for Portrait Couture clients. Most importantly, it was commissioned while a close friend was battling breast cancer and arrived in Atlanta the day she was laid to rest. To me, this skirt symbolizes the beauty, strength, and courage displayed by so many amazing women who have dealt with this disease. It will be worn for the first time during a very special photo shoot with breast cancer survivor. This project is a way of honoring my friend Marcy Scott, and celebrating her life and the dignity with which she lived and fought her battle. The skirt is a beautiful pale pink and features cascading rows of chiffon ruffles. It has an adjustable waistband so it can fit a variety of sizes. After the special photo shoot takes place it will become part of the Glamour Closet and will be available for Portrait Couture shoots.
